Meet Debbie Longo

I believe successful dog training begins with understanding behavior, not simply correcting it.

Every dog is different, and so is every owner's reason for bringing a dog into their life. My approach focuses on understanding both the dog's individual behavior and what the owner hopes to accomplish through training.

I believe training should have a practical purpose. Whether you want a calmer household, better communication, enjoyable walks, or the freedom to include your dog in more activities, the training should support those goals.

I work directly with owners to identify behavioral challenges, introduce appropriate training techniques, and develop the consistency needed to encourage better habits.

My goal is not simply to teach your dog new behaviors, but to give you the understanding and practical skills to continue guiding your dog independently.

Three Principles Guide My Approach

Understanding

Recognizing each dog's individual behaviors, learning patterns, and needs while considering the owner's goals and expectations.

Communication

Helping owners communicate clearly and consistently so their dogs can better understand and respond to guidance.

Partnership

Working directly with owners to develop practical skills, reinforce better habits, and build a more enjoyable life with their dogs.

My professional journey began in human behavioral coaching, where I've spent more than 24 years helping people understand behavioral patterns, develop better habits, and create meaningful change.

Today, I continue my work as an Executive Behavioral Coach while expanding my focus to include dog training and behavior. I bring that same emphasis on understanding behavior, communication, and consistency to helping owners guide their dogs toward better habits and more enjoyable lives together.

My Background in Behavioral Coaching

WORKING WITH DEBBIE

A Personal Approach to Dog Training

I believe that working with a dog trainer should be a positive learning experience for both you and your dog. My goal is to create an environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, discussing challenges, and learning practical techniques without feeling judged or overwhelmed.

Every owner has different expectations, routines, and concerns. I take the time to listen, understand what you're experiencing, and help you develop realistic goals that fit your lifestyle.

My approach is hands-on and collaborative. I want you to understand not only what techniques to use, but why you're using them and how to recognize when your dog is making progress.

You don't have to have all the answers or get everything right immediately. Training is a learning process for both of you, and I'm here to provide guidance, encouragement, and practical support along the way.

My goal is simple: to help you become more confident in your ability to guide your dog's behavior.

Let's Talk About Your Dog

Let's discuss your dog's needs, your goals, and how we can work together to create positive, lasting changes.
